CJC-1295: a research overview (with and without DAC)
CJC-1295 is a modified analogue of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). It is studied in two forms that differ mainly in half-life.
The two forms
Without DAC (also called Mod GRF 1-29) it has a short activity window of roughly 30 minutes. With DAC (a Drug Affinity Complex that binds albumin) the half-life extends to roughly 6 to 8 days.
GH secretagogue research
The short-acting form is used to study pulsatile GH-release kinetics, while the DAC form is used to study sustained-release kinetics from a single administration.
Studied with ipamorelin
In the literature CJC-1295 is frequently paired with ipamorelin, which acts on the complementary ghrelin receptor.
